President Petro Poroshenko has signed the law "On the State Budget" for 2017.
The Presidential Administration announced this in a statement, Ukrainian News Agency reports.
Poroshenko also signed the law "On Amendments to Certain Legislative Acts of Ukraine," which provides for increasing the minimum wage to UAH 3,200, and the law "On Amendments to the Budget Code."
Poroshenko noted that the government submitted the draft state budget to the parliament on time, thus breaking years of tradition.
According to him, the budget's provision on expenditures on national defense and security was discussed promptly and in detail at a meeting of the National Security and Defense Council.
Poroshenko said that these expenditures amount to 5.2% of the GDP.
The head of state particularly stressed the fact that the state budget for 2017 raises the minimum wage to UAH 3,200.
The document approved a projected GDP growth rate of 3% and an inflation rate of 8.1% in 2017.
The indicators of the state budget for 2017 are based on a macroeconomic forecast scenario that envisages a 3% growth of real GDP and increase of the nominal GDP to UAH 2,584.9 billion.
The inflation rate (December on December) is projected at 8.1% and the producer price index (December on December) at 108.5%.
The minimum wage is set at UAH 3,200.
The document also projects the revenue from privatization at UAH 17.1 billion in 2017.
The maximum amount of public debt at the end of 2017 is set at UAH 1,716.630217 billion.
The law requires the National Bank of Ukraine to transfer UAH 45 billion out of its profits into the state budget.
The document also provides for reduction of the Pension Fund's deficit by 9.5% to UAH 141.315 billion.
Revenues in the document are increased to UAH 721,398.426 million and expenditures to UAH 790,393.530 million.
The law provides for granting UAH 1 billion in subsidies to cover the difference in the cost of coal mining by state-owned mines and UAH 847.1 million for restructuring the peat and coal mining industry (liquidation of mines).
