Ukraine – EU Association Council Meeting In Belgium December 19

The Ukraine – European Union Association Council is meeting in Brussels, Belgium on December 19.

Ukrainian News Agency learned this from a press release issued by the European Council.

Federica Mogherini, High Representative of the EU for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, will be chairing the meeting on behalf of the EU.

Prime Minister Volodymyr Groysman will be representing Ukraine.

The Association Council will discuss relations between the EU and Ukraine, specifically on political dialogue and reform, political association; justice, freedom and security; economic and sectoral cooperation, as well as trade and trade-related matters.

The EU High Representative and the Prime Minister of Ukraine will also discuss more specifically developments related to Ukraine’s sovereignty and territorial integrity, as well as the EU global strategy and regional issues.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, the previous meeting of the Ukraine – EU Association Council took place on December 7, 2015.
