The defence attorney for Armed Forces Col Ivan Bezyazykov, suspected of spying, says that his client was abducted from the hospital and returned to the courtroom by unknown persons wearing Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) chevrons. Lawyer Oleh Veremeyenko said this in the Shevchenkivskyi District Court of Kyiv, Ukrainian News Agency reports. "Yesterday at 20:00, [doctors] took Bezyazykov to hospital. I came to the hospital at 21:00, but he was no longer there. He was brought to court at 9 o'clock [on Wednesday]," he said. Veremeyenko submitted a statement to the police on abduction of his client. The lawyer stressed that his client had told him that the unknown persons had been keeping him in a hotel all night long. Prosecutor Oleh Peresadov calls the allegation of the abduction inauthentic. Bezyazykov himself is in the courtroom. As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, Bezyazykov was taken to hospital from the courtroom on December 13.
