A court has arrested a water transport vehicle, three hourses or apartments, two garages, and treasures from the Mezhyhirria state residence owned by former president Viktor Yanukovych. The Prosecutor General's Office of Ukraine told this to Ukrainian News in response to an inquiry. The court has also arrested icons, paintings, a land plot and money. The arrest of the property has been warranted within investigation into cases against Yanukovych. As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, the Prosecutor General's Office suspects former president Yanukovych of receiving UAH 26 million in bribes disguised as book royalties. According to investigators, it has been established that during the period of 2011-2012 Yanukovych took advantage of his official position to help the people that controlled the Novyi Mir company to conduct business and other activities, as well as to protect this company in its dealings with government and law enforcement agencies. The Prosecutor General's Office suspects Viktor Yanukovych, former chairperson of the Kyiv Region State Administration Vira Ulyanchenko and several officials of misappropriation of a land plot in Sukholuchchia, Kyiv Region. Viktor Yanukovych has recently been officially notified by Prosecutor General Yurii Lutsenko that he is suspected of high treason.
