The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine objects to an initiative of Ukraine's taking the migrant sheltering quota instead of the European Union countries.
Prime Minister of Ukraine Volodymyr Groysman gave the position in the Verkhovna Rada on Friday, Ukrainian News Agency reports.
"This is not a position of the Ukrainian government regarding the migrants... We do not support initiatives of this sort," he said.
Prior to this, the Justice Ministry said it objected to the idea of Ukraine's taking the migrant sheltering quota instead of the European Union countries.
As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, Deputy Justice Minister for European integration Serhii Petukhov favors the idea of transferring the migrant sheltering quota to Ukraine instead of the European Union countries.
