Canada To Grant Ukraine USD 8.1 Million For Development Of National Police In 2017

Canada will grant Ukraine USD 8.1 million for development of the National Police in 2017.

Ukrainian News Agency learned this from a statement made by the press service of the People’s Front party.

Internal Affairs Minister Arsen Avakov, a representative of the People’s Front party and Canadian Minister of International Trade Chrystia Freeland were talking about this during a visit of the Ukrainian delegation to Canada.

USD 6.6 million will be channeled to upgrade qualifications of Ukrainian law-enforcers with the involvement of Canadian police specialists and trainers, and USD 1.5 million for the up-to-date technical equipment of police units and departments.
