The State Food Safety and Consumer Protection Service notes that pharmacy chains do not comply with the government-recommended prices for medical drugs.
Ukrainian News Agency learned this from a Service's statement.
The authority has conducted 17 checks for observance of price discipline by pharmacy chains and each one discovered irregularities.
A pharmacy in Mykolayiv Region sells Ambroxol to state-financed organisations with a 204.1% markup, Aminazin with a 25.0% markup, Ofloxacin with a 27.5% markup and examination gloves with a 101.7% markup.
The ceiling markup for medical drugs sold to state-financed organisations is 10%.
As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, the Antimonopoly Committee of Ukraine in September fined five companies UAH 2.7 million for anticompetitive concerted actions, related to fixing prices for the pharmaceuticals made by Alcon Group.
