Britain Insists To Enforce Sanctions Against Russia

Britain insists to enforce sanctions against the Russian Federation.

The Embassy of Ukraine in Britain announced this in a statement on Twitter citing Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs Boris Johnson, Ukrainian News Agency reports.

"It is the United Kingdom that insists to enforce sanctions against Russia for occupation of Crimea and their hand in war in east of Ukraine," the Embassy quotes Boris Johnson as saying.

According to the Embassy of Ukraine in Britain, Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs Johnson also says that the UK is prepared to be tough with Russia.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, the President of the European Council, Donald Tusk says the sanctions against the Russian Federation will likely be extended for another six months.

The Council of the European Union has extended sanctions against 146 individuals and 37 legal entities involved in actions against the territorial integrity of Ukraine till 15 March 2017.
