Klimkin: No Progress During Discussion Of ‘Roadmap' At ‘Normandy Format' Meeting Of Foreign Ministers

Foreign Affairs Minister Pavlo Klimkin has said that no progress was made during the discussion of the "roadmap" for implementation of the Mink agreements during the meeting of foreign ministers in the "Normandy format" (Ukraine, France, Germany and Russia) in Minsk (Belarus) on Tuesday.

Klimkin was speaking at a news briefing after the meeting, Ukrainian News reports.

"Unfortunately, it (the discussion) was very superficial... The discussion will continue in various formats," Klimkin said.

According to him, the negotiations can yield results only if the International Committee of the Red Cross is granted access to the occupied territories and Ukrainian prisoners are freed.

As Ukrainian News earlier reported, Ukraine said it intended to insist on release of hostages during a meeting of foreign ministers in the "Normandy format" in Minsk on Tuesday.
