Russia, European Commission Agree To Hold Trilateral Negotiations With Ukraine, Possibility Of Supply Of 1.5-4 Billion Cubic Metres Of Gas To Ukraine In Winter

Russia and the European Commission have agreed to hold trilateral negotiations with Ukraine on the possibility of supply of 1.5-4 billion cubic metres of natural gas to Ukraine in winter.

Russian RIA Novosti news agency announced this referring to Russian Energy Minister Alexander Novak after his meeting with Vice-President of the European Commission in charge of Energy Union Maros Sefcovic.

Novak insists that Gazprom's contract price is USD 30 for 1,000 cubic metres lower than the current gas quotations at the European spot markets.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, Naftogaz of Ukraine national joint-stock company stopped importing gas from Russia on November 25, 2015.
