Ukrainian Presidential Envoy Jemilev's Son Haiser Released From Jail In Russia

Haiser Jemilev, the son of Member of Parliament Mustafa Jemilev (Petro Poroshenko Bloc), the President's envoy on Crimean Tatar affairs, has been released from a jail in Russia.

Haiser Jemilev's lawyer Nikolay Polozov announced this on Twitter, Ukrainian News Agency reports.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, the Krasnodar Territory Court (Russia) in September 2015 sentenced Haiser Jemilev to five years of deprivation of freedom in a minimum-security correctional facility for homicide.

In early June 2014, the Investigative Committee of Russia for Crimea apprehended Haiser Jemilev, arrested him and moved to Russia.

The investigation has a theory that between April 2 and May 20, 2013 Haiser Jemilev stole his father's rifle and on May 27, 2013 fired a shot at a 30-year-old hired worker.
