Finance Ministry Expects IMF Mission To Arrive On 26 October

The Ministry of Finance expects a mission from the International Monetary Fund to arrive in Ukraine on 26 October.

The press service of the ministry announced this to Ukrainian News.

Finance Minister Oleksandr Danyliuk recently said that he was expecting an IMF mission in late October, but he did not specify a date.

An IMF mission last visited Ukraine from 10 to 18 May 2016.

The International Monetary Fund has scheduled the next (third) review of its cooperation program with Ukraine for 15 November 2016.

The fourth review of the program is scheduled for 15 February 2017 (the amount of the tranche is USD 1.986 billion), the fifth review for 15 May 2017 (USD 1.33 billion), the sixth for 15 August 2017 (USD 1.33 billion), and the seventh for 15 November 2017 (USD 735.8 million).

As Ukrainian News earlier reported, the International Monetary Fund decided on 14 September to disburse USD 1 billion to Ukraine as the third tranche of the EFF (Extended Fund Facility) program.

The total amount thus far disbursed to Ukraine is about USD 7.62 billion.

The National Bank of Ukraine expects the International Monetary Fund to disburse USD 1.3 billion as the next tranche.
