Opposition Bloc Accuses Avakov, Turchynov, Yatsenyuk, People's Front MPs Pashinskyi, Kniazhytskyi, Siumar, Heraschenko Of Masterminding Assault On Inter

The Opposition Bloc party accuses Internal Affairs Minister Arsen Avakov, Secretary of the National Security and Defence Council (NSDC) Oleksandr Turchynov, former Prime Minister Arseniy Yatsenyuk and People's Front Members of Parliament Serhii Pashinskyi, Mykola Kniazhytskyi, Viktoriya Siumar and Anton Heraschenko of masterminding the assault on Inter TV channel.

Ukrainian News Agency learned this from an Opposition Bloc's statement.

The party says that the mentioned politicians were trying to obtain their own powerful party TV channel.

"Since 2014, they were pressing the National Council for Television and Radio Broadcasting for cancellation of Inter's broadcasting licence, initiating actions at law in an attempt of corporate raids," the statement said.

Opposition Bloc says that all these actions had "Force" support from the paramilitary groups which were involved in the September 4 terrorist attack.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, September 6, Inter TV channel said its work had been unblocked and thanks for support Ukraine's international partners, international journalist organisations and President Petro Poroshenko.

Inter emphasises that they were not negotiating with the persons impeding the TV channel's work.

September 5 and 6, a group of at least 50 persons was hampering entry and exit from the channel and impeding journalists, employees of Inter and other Inter Media Group companies access to their working places.

September 4, 15 unknown persons in balaclavas tried to seize and set on fire the office of Inter TV channel in Kyiv.

Last week, Avakov called for depriving Inter TV channel of licence because he disliked its work.
