Jet-powered drone strikes administrative building in downtown Chernihiv; one person injured

On the morning of July 21, russian troops attacked Chernihiv with rocket-powered drones. Dmytro Bryzhynskyi, the head of the Chernihiv City Military Administration, has reported this.

As a result of the enemy attack, a strike was recorded on an administrative building in the city center, after which a fire broke out at the site. According to the press service of the Chernihiv City Council, the strike caused partial damage to structural elements of the administrative building. Windows at a higher education institution located in the affected area were also damaged.

According to the head of the Municipal Emergency Service, one person was injured as a result of the shelling. Preliminary reports indicate that the victim sustained blast injuries, acoustic trauma, and an acute stress reaction. Efforts to address the aftermath of the attack are ongoing, with State Emergency Service units working at the scene.

As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, in Sumy, an Epicenter store burned down following a drone attack, and part of the building collapsed.
