Ukraine has received a EUR 3.9 billion loan from the European Union to fund drones and urgent military supplies. Prime Minister Yuliia Svyrydenko announced this on her Telegram channel, the Ukrainian News agency reports.

"These funds will be used to finance priority defense needs—the production of Ukrainian drones, strengthening the capabilities of the defense industry, and ensuring urgent deliveries for the front lines," she said.

Svyrydenko noted that this is the first tranche of defense support under the new financial instrument, the Ukraine Support Loan.

On June 25, the state budget received EUR 3.2 billion in budgetary support under the same loan, bringing the total amount of funds Ukraine has received through this instrument to EUR 7 billion.

As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, on June 8, Svyrydenko announced that Ukraine had received the seventh tranche of funding from the European Union under the Ukraine Facility, amounting to EUR 2.8 billion.
