Iran's military leadership has announced yet another closure of the Strait of Hormuz, citing alleged violations of the agreement by the United States.

It was reported by the Iranian media outlet TasnimNews.

The Iranians claim that the US allegedly violated the first clause of the memorandum ending the war between the two countries, which had halted hostilities.

Iran also describes the closure of the strait as a response to Israel’s strikes on Lebanon and the continued occupation of southern Lebanon.

“It should be noted that this first step is a response to the enemy’s violation of the agreement, and if the aggression continues, further measures will be planned and taken to compel the enemy to honor its commitments,” the Iranian Armed Forces General Staff stated.
