The Cabinet of Ministers has extended the "Fuel Cashback" program, which launched on March 20, until May 31, 2026.
The Ministry of Economy, Environment, and Agriculture has reported this on its Telegram channel, according to the Ukrainian News agency.
The statement notes that the decision was made in light of persistently high fuel prices and the program’s active use by Ukrainians.
It is noted that starting May 1, the maximum compensation amount will be up to UAH 500 per month per user — this corresponds to the actual amounts received by most participants.
The Ministry noted that since the program’s launch on March 20, over 2 million Ukrainians have already received fuel cashback, and 91% of users are owners of budget-class cars with small engine capacities.
As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, from March 20 through May, the government introduced partial compensation for Ukrainians for fuel purchased at gas stations under the "National Cashback" program: 15% for diesel, 10% for gasoline, and 5% for autogas.
According to estimates by the Ministry of Economy, this will save between UAH 2 and UAH 11 per liter.
On April 23, Prime Minister Yuliia Svyrydenko announced on her Telegram channel that 2 million Ukrainians had already taken advantage of the "Fuel Cashback" program since March 20.
