The Odesa Region came under a massive attack by russian drones at night, targeting energy and port infrastructure. The head of the Odesa Regional Military Administration, Oleh Kiper, has reported this.
Damage to the facilities led to power outages, and empty tanks and special equipment were damaged at the port.
"Fortunately, there were no casualties. The fires have been localized. All emergency services are working on the ground," Kiper said, adding that the consequences of the attack are being recorded and eliminated.
In the regional center itself, the enemy also hit an infrastructure facility. According to the head of Odesa City Military Administration, Serhii Lysak, drones attacked the city almost all night, but thanks to the work of the Defense Forces, residential buildings remained intact.
"Damage to an infrastructure facility was recorded," emphasized Lysak, noting that there have been no reports of injuries so far.
As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, on April 9, there were power cuts in all regions of Ukraine.
As a result of shelling by the aggressor country russia, DTEK's energy facility in the Odesa Region was severely damaged.
