As a result of Iran's strike on the Prince Sultan air base in Saudi Arabia, 12 American servicemen were wounded, two of them seriously.

The authors of the New York Times reported this with reference to American officials.

It is noted that at least two KC-135 refueling aircraft were heavily damaged as a result of the strike.

During the hostilities, Iran bombed American bases across the Middle East, using a huge arsenal of ballistic missiles and drones. Most of the strikes were neutralized by air defense systems, but a significant number of expensive missiles were used to shoot down cheap drones.

The NYT reminded that since the beginning of the military operation, six US Army reservists have been killed in a drone strike on a tactical operations center in the port of Shuaiba in Kuwait. Another American soldier was killed in an attack on the Prince Sultan base on March 1.

Almost 300 US servicemen have been wounded since the beginning of the war, about 225 of them sustained concussion from missile explosions. All but 35 have returned to duty.

A total of 13 US servicemen have been killed.
