The Ukrainian delegation has begun a meeting with its American partners in the United States, with the main goal of agreeing on further steps to achieve peace. It was reported by Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine Rustem Umerov.
Umerov clarified that all decisions are coordinated with the head of state, as he is in direct and constant communication with President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy.
"I am in constant communication with the President of Ukraine. We have clear directives and priorities - protection of Ukrainian interests, substantive dialogue and moving forward on the basis of the developments achieved in Geneva," the head of the delegation and NSDC Secretary said.
Umerov also added that the delegation would immediately report to the President of Ukraine on the results of today's meetings.
As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, Ukrainian delegation, which includes Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council Rustem Umerov and First Deputy Foreign Minister Serhii Kyslytsya, went to the United States to discuss the peace plan promoted by President Donald Trump.
Trump is not ready to meet with Zelenskyy and putin until the peace talks reach their final stage.
