Intensive consultations are underway in Geneva, and the teams of Ukraine, the United States and European partner countries are in close contact. President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy said this on Telegram.
The President expressed confidence in the constructive nature of the dialogue between the teams of Ukraine and partners:
"At this time, teams are meeting in Switzerland to work on steps to end the war. It is good that diplomacy has been intensified and that the conversation can be constructive. The Ukrainian and American teams, the teams of our European partners are in close contact, and I really hope that there will be a result," Zelenskyy emphasized
The President noted that it was necessary not only to stop the bloodshed, but also to ensure that the war would not be reignited.
"I am waiting for the results of today's conversations, I hope that all participants will be constructive. We need a positive result for all of us," Zelenskyy added.
As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, Yermak said that the Ukrainian delegation had started negotiations with European countries in Geneva.
The President has agreed on the composition of Ukraine's negotiators on the "peace plan": consultations will begin in the coming days.
