In the evening of October 15, emergency power outage schedules were introduced in most regions of Ukraine, except for the Donetsk and part of the Chernihiv Regions, due to the difficult situation in the integrated power system. It was reported by the Ministry of Energy.

First, DTEK announced blackouts in the Kyiv, Dnipro and Odesa Regions, as well as in Kyiv. Later, the cutoffs were extended to almost the entire country.

The restrictions were imposed as a result of previous russian attacks on energy infrastructure. Emergency repair works are ongoing in all affected regions.

As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, due to a nighttime russian attack on power facilities, consumers in several regions, in particular in the Dnipropetrovsk Region, had power cut off.
