Andrii Matiukha Foundation Becomes a Partner of the Ukrenergo Repair Workers Safety Initiative

The Andrii Matiukha Foundation has supported the "Ukrenergo Repair Workers Protection" program. Its main goal is to provide technical staff and repair crews of NPC Ukrenergo with practical knowledge that can save lives in critical moments. The program plans to conduct 75 one-day training sessions for company employees.

Since the start of the full-scale war, Ukraine's energy system has been under daily threats. Since 2022, over 30 large-scale attacks have been recorded, damaging more than 63,000 energy facilities. At least 160 energy workers have lost their lives, and over 300 have been injured. Tragically, 13 Ukrenergo employees died simply performing their work.

Repair crews go out daily to high-voltage lines and substations, where the risk of shelling remains high. In these conditions, first aid knowledge is as essential as professional skills.

Participants in the "Ukrenergo Repair Workers Protection" program will learn to apply tourniquets, stop bleeding, perform cardiopulmonary resuscitation, and assess the condition of the injured. Each participant will receive a personal certificate as recognition of their acquired skills.

"Our energy workers restore power even after heavy attacks under extreme conditions. They must be equipped with knowledge that can save their own lives or the lives of a colleague in critical moments. That is why the Foundation supported this project," emphasizes Andrii Matiukha.

The "Ukrenergo Repair Workers Protection" project continues the systematic work of the Andrii Matiukha Foundation. In 2025, the Foundation has twice supported Okhmatdyt children's hospital with the purchase of modern equipment and joined the "Origami for Ukraine" art installation, which raises funds for the rehabilitation of Ukrainian soldiers.
