The Third Build Up Educational Masterclass Held in Dnipro with the Support of Favbet Foundation and Andrii Matiukha

On August 1, Dnipro hosted the third masterclass of the "Ticket to IT" educational initiative — a project that gives teenagers the opportunity to take their first step into the world of modern digital professions. The event was organized by GoIT Academy with the support of Favbet Foundation, led by foundation president Andrii Matiukha, as part of the Build Up program.

The masterclass brought together 65 participants, mainly teenagers from military families, internally displaced persons, orphans, and representatives of other socially vulnerable groups. For many, it was their first opportunity to discover the IT field through hands-on practice and live communication with professionals.

The event took place in a spacious, comfortable venue where the teenagers immediately got down to work. Participants used real tools, completed exercises, and received guidance from experts. They learned how startups are formed and how marketing works, explored web design, hardware programming, video editing and post-production basics, IT project management, as well as the fundamentals of motion design and visual storytelling.

By the end of the event, the teenagers worked on practical cases and received the opportunity to join the GoFriends IT Academy summer camp free of charge. All of them expressed a desire to continue studying within Favbet Foundation projects.

"The children who came to the masterclass turned out to be very talented. We conducted a logic test that shows how ready a person is to work in IT — and all participants passed with flying colors! Such a result is extremely rare. At our events, we strive to ensure that every child feels they can become part of the industry of the future. We are proud to give anyone interested an experience that will stay with them forever," the Favbet Foundation team noted.

Andrii Matiukha and Favbet Foundation plan to expand the program so that even more teenagers can receive their own "ticket" into the digital future.

Favbet Foundation and Andrii Matiukha Develop IT Education for Teenagers

The "Ticket to IT" masterclasses are part of the Build Up project implemented by GoFriends IT Academy and supported under the IT Kids charitable program, which the foundation has been running since 2023. During this time, more than 1,100 teenagers have received free education. The first initiative was the "New Python" course in partnership with Code Club Ukraine, which was completed by 352 participants — including 156 children from military and displaced families. This was followed by a Scratch course, which enrolled 780 children.

Previous Build Up masterclasses were held in Kyiv and Stryi. The Dnipro event continued this series and demonstrated that young people's interest in IT is only growing.
