Filindash: The U.S. is many years in debt. Trump's goal is new industrialization

Trump's main goal is new industrialization of the US. Now the country is living in debt. About this writes political scientist Eugene Filindash

The expert emphasizes that the US has a long-standing trade deficit, which grows every year. "The states buy in foreign markets almost a trillion (!) dollars more goods than they sell there. The US federal budget deficit has reached an even more monstrous figure of $1.9 trillion (6.2% of GDP). The world leader has been living essentially in debt for years. And the dangerously inflated financial bubble will burst sooner or later. Trump, realizing this when he came to power, promised to halve the deficit to 3% of GDP by 2028," the political scientist emphasizes.

Filindash believes that the American president is now trying to reduce the federal budget deficit at the expense of other countries, not at the expense of his constituents among ordinary Americans.

"Trump's goal is the new industrialization of the United States, the recreation at a qualitatively new technological level of American industry - the very real sector of the economy that will provide Americans with new jobs and a higher standard of living. This will obviously take not just a year or two, but much longer. In the near future, both for the U.S. itself and for the whole world, we can expect rather negative consequences, which have already begun to manifest themselves - in the form of stock market falls, etc.," the expert emphasizes.

"Many of Trump's current steps are exactly what he publicly declared even before his return to the White House. And today he is simply fulfilling his own election promises, that's why the majority of Americans voted for him," - summarizes the political scientist.

Recall, earlier Donald Trump announced the introduction of new mutual duties with other countries.
