Ukrainian aerial reconnaissance school becomes a partner of Danish UAV manufacturer ASTERO ISR

The Ukrainian aerial reconnaissance school "Dovzhyk" has partnered with the Danish manufacturer of long-range UAVs ASTERO ISR. This was announced on the school's official Facebook page.

"We have our first international partner! We launched a collaboration with the Danish UAV systems manufacturer Nordic Wing," the school stated.

Ukrainian servicemen will be trained to use the ASTERO ISR system. These UAVs are already in use by the Ukrainian military and boast advanced technical specifications for fixed-wing drones.

According to the manufacturer’s website, the maximum flight duration is stated to be 4 hours. The system is equipped with countermeasures against enemy electronic warfare, can operate without GPS signals, and performs landings using the deep stall method.

The ASTERO ISR drones are supplied with two cameras option: one for daytime use (offering 80x zoom capability) and a night vision camera (NightHawk 2 UZ with yaw/roll for 360°).

Initially, piloting training will be available to servicemen from units already equipped with the Nordic Wing systems.
