The annual growth of venture capital investments in the UK technology sector by 10-15% looks quite optimistic.
This opinion was voiced by entrepreneur, banker, financier, investor Denis Gorbunenko in his blog on LINKEDIN.
"Over the next 5 years, the country can take the leading position in this area, demonstrating an annual growth of 10-15%," he said. In his opinion, the growth of venture capital investments predicted by some experts up to 30 billion pounds already by 2025 and 50 billion pounds by 2030 looks quite realistic and achievable.
Gorbunenko also noted that financial technology, artificial intelligence, biotechnology and clean technology are expected to be key growth drivers. By 2030, these sectors could attract up to 20 percent of all venture capital, with a particular focus on renewable energy, waste recycling and sustainable agriculture. In his opinion, to maintain the positive dynamics, it is necessary to continue stimulating these investments through government initiatives, improving the regulatory framework and additional measures to attract capital. It is also advisable to explore the possibility of introducing a special visa regime for investors and simplifying the procedure for obtaining residence permits, etc.
Denis Gorbunenko is an entrepreneur, banker, financier and investor. He managed the largest banks in Ukraine. For the last 15 years, he has been involved in international investment activities, mainly in the financial and banking sector and the property market for HWNIs in the UK.
