Timur Mikhailovich Mindich is a Ukrainian businessman and producer, and co-owner of the company "Studio 'Kvartal 95'".
He was born on September 19, 1979, in Dnipropetrovsk.
There is no official biography of the businessman, nor any interview with him in which he himself would have systematically described his life story.
According to Ukrainian registries and open sources, Mindich owns a stake in the Cypriot owner of “Studio Kvartal 95” and the Kvartal TV channel.
In a 2019 interview with “Ukrainska Pravda,” Ihor Kolomoyskyi said that Timur Mindich was his daughter’s fiancé, though the marriage never took place, and that he was also his business partner in certain real estate development projects. It was also Mindich who introduced Kolomoyskyi to Volodymyr Zelenskyy when the latter was still a showman and head of the “Kvartal 95” studio.
Mindich continued to leverage his connections with Zelenskyy even after Volodymyr was elected President of Ukraine.
In 2020, journalists from the “Schemes” program documented that the businessman visited the Office of the President three times; he explained that he had discussed “issues of aid and charity” there.
Journalists also uncovered Mindich’s connection to the company “Kinokit,” which received contracts worth millions from the state-run TV channel “Rada.” The company is owned by a former legal advisor to Mindich’s British firm.
In June 2025, it became known that a judge of the High Anti-Corruption Court of Ukraine had partially granted a motion by a NABU detective and taken into custody the cousin of Timur Mindich — Leonid Mindich, who is suspected of organizing a scheme to embezzle 12.5 million hryvnias and attempting to embezzle another 120 million hryvnias from JSC “Kharkivoblenergo” during the procurement of transformer equipment and electrical measuring instruments.
After that, according to journalists, Mindich left for Austria.
In July 2025, Verkhovna Rada deputy Yaroslav Zheleznyak published a photo of what was allegedly a gold toilet from Timur Mindich’s Kyiv apartment.
On November 10, 2025, NABU released the “Midas Tapes,” recordings revealing large-scale embezzlement and money laundering schemes related to the construction of protective structures in the energy sector. Mindich allegedly appeared in the recordings under the alias “Carlson.” On the same day, NABU conducted searches at his residence, but by that time, Mindich had already left Ukraine again.
On November 13, 2025, Volodymyr Zelenskyy enacted the NSDC’s decision to impose sanctions against Mindich for three years (which, compared to other sanctions cases, is a relatively short period). The businessman himself is listed in the presidential decree as an Israeli citizen.
