Earthquake recorded in Poltava Region

Overnight into Friday, March 1, an earthquake with a magnitude of 3.6 occurred in the Reshetylivka district of the Poltava Region.

This is reported on the website of the Main Center of Special Control.

It is reported that the epicenter of the earthquake is located west of the city of Poltava at a depth of 10 km. The tremors were recorded at 2:22 a.m. Kyiv time.

According to the classification of earthquakes, it belongs to barely perceptible ones. It could be felt only by individual people who were in a calm state inside the room, especially on the upper floors.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, an earthquake with a magnitude of 2.7 occurred near the Zmiyinyi Island.

An earthquake with a magnitude of 2.2 occurred in the Zakarpattia Region on August 15.

In addition, on July 31, an earthquake occurred in the Zakarpattia Region. Aftershocks reached 2.1 points on the Richter scale.

Earlier, the third earthquake occurred in the Poltava Region in two months.

In June, an earthquake occurred in the Black Sea not far from Crimea. The depth of the vibrations was about 10 km, and their strength was 4.7 points.
