Russia keeps 2 ships on combat duty in Black Sea. Are there missile carriers among them

As of 08:00 a.m. on Tuesday, January 9, russia keeps 2 ships on combat duty in the Black Sea, 1 ship in the Sea of Azov, and there are no missile carriers among them.

This was announced by the Command of the Naval Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the Telegram channel, Ukrainian News Agency reports.

"There are 2 enemy ships in the Black Sea; 1 enemy ship in the Sea of Azov; 3 enemy ships in the Mediterranean Sea, including 2 carriers of Kalibr cruise missiles, the total salvo is up to 16 missiles," the message says.

During the day, in the interests of the russian federation, passage through the Kerch Strait was carried out by:

- to the Sea of Azov - 16 ships, of which 4 were moving from the Bosphorus Strait;

- to the Black Sea - 25 ships, of which 2 continued their movement in the direction of the Bosphorus Strait.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, as of the morning of January 8, there was one ship each in the Black Sea and the Sea of Azov, and there were no missile carriers among them.

On January 4, around 03:00 p.m., the Armed Forces of Ukraine struck the command post of the russian occupation forces near Sevastopol.

Prior to this, on December 26, the Commander of the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Mykola Oleshchuk, announced the destruction by Ukraine of the large amphibious assault ship Novocherkassk in the port of occupied Feodosia.

The Defense Forces of Southern Ukraine have published a photo of the remains of the Novocherkassk ship hit by Ukrainian defenders.
