Russians in Zaporizhzhia Region suffer losses and withdraw near Novodarivka - Defense Forces

The speaker of the joint press center of the Tavria Defense Forces, Colonel Oleksandr Shtupun, announced this on the air of the telethon.

Thus, on the Avdiivka axis, the enemy's offensive actions in the areas of Novokalynove, Avdiivka and east of Pervomaiske were unsuccessful, where Ukrainian soldiers repelled 18 attacks.

"In addition, the enemy conducted unsuccessful assault operations 6 times in the areas of Prechystivka and Staromaiorske - this is the Shakhtarsk axis. In the Zaporizhzhia Region, the occupiers suffered losses and withdrew during the assault near Novodarivka. At the same time, our offensive operation on the Melitopol axis continues," Shtupun said.

In addition, 22 enemy attacks were repelled in the areas of Mariinka and Novomykhailivka.

"Due to the lack of any tactical success, the russian command holds so-called explanatory conversations with the personnel. In particular, also applying physical influence and severe moral pressure," the speaker said.

According to him, in total, in the operating zone of the Tavria Operational and Strategic Troops Group, the enemy launched 9 airstrikes per day, conducted 45 combat clashes and carried out more than 1000 artillery attacks.

Shtupun noted that the enemy reduced the number of airstrikes, which may be due to both a lack of weapons and weather conditions, as well as the ability of pilots to use certain weapons in such weather conditions.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, the russian invaders intensified the transfer of military support and manpower through Mariupol and the Mariupol district mainly in the direction of Berdiansk.

According to the morning summary of the General Staff, the Armed Forces continue assault operations south of Bakhmut, Donetsk Region and conducting an offensive operation on the Melitopol axis. Ukrainian fighters also hold the defense in the area of ​ ​ Avdiivka.
