AFU Destroy 540 Occupiers, 7 Tanks And 42 Drones. General Staff Announces Russian Losses Per Day
As of the morning of Monday, May 8, the Ukrainian military eliminated 540 Russian soldiers per day, the total number of losses of the Russian army since the beginning of the invasion is 194,970 soldiers. In addition, the Armed Forces destroyed seven tanks and 42 UAVs.
It was reported by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
The total combat losses of the enemy from February 24, 2022 to May 8, 2023 were approximately:
- personnel ‒ about 194,970 (+ 540) persons eliminated,
- tanks ‒ 3,730 (+ 7) units,
- armored fighting vehicles - 7,253 (+ 5) units,
- artillery systems - 3,018 (+ 8) units,
- MLRS - 554 (+ 0) units,
- air defense equipment - 306 (+ 0) units,
- aircraft - 308 (+ 0) units,
- helicopters - 294 (+ 0) units,
- UAVs of operational and tactical level - 2,614 (+ 42),
- cruise missiles - 947 (+ 0),
- ships/boats - 18 (+ 0) units,
- vehicles and tank trucks - 5,958 (+ 6) units,
- special equipment - 384 (+ 4)
As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, heavy battles are underway for Bakhmut and Mariinka, during the day the invaders carried out about 50 attacks.
Meanwhile, as of the morning of May 7, the losses of Russian troops and their mercenaries in Ukraine amount to about 193,430. Over the past day, Ukrainian defenders eliminated at least 660 Russian occupiers.
