Replenishment of cards through terminals will be possible from June 26 after confirming mobile number
Replenishment of cards through terminals will be possible from June 26 after confirming the mobile number.
The relevant changes are specified in the resolution of the National Bank, Ukrainian News Agency reports.
Starting from June 26 of this year, after depositing cash into the terminal, before completing the operation, it will be necessary to enter a password that will be sent in an SMS message.
Without entering the appropriate code, the transaction will not be completed.
The code may also be received in the form of a call.
The full phone number of the payer will be indicated on the receipts.
The new requirement is aimed at combating anonymous financial transactions through terminals.
Previously, cash could be deposited through such devices without any identification, which created risks for financial monitoring.
As before, it will be possible to pay taxes and utilities, buy transport tickets, top up travel cards, and top up mobile phones without a password.
As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, from June 1, 2025, new restrictions on card money transfers came into force in Ukraine.
For medium and low-risk clients, the monthly limit has been reduced from UAH 150,000 to UAH 100,000 per month.
High-risk clients will be able to transfer up to UAH 50,000 per month, the limit does not change.
The restrictions also apply to IBAN transfers.
Individuals who receive official income in excess of the specified amounts will be able to transfer amounts that correspond to their income.
The limits will not apply to volunteers and charitable organizations, as well as clients making transfers between their own accounts in the same bank.
Drops are people who, for a fee, provide attackers with access to their bank cards and accounts.
Such payment instruments are used as transit for transfers of different amounts between other accounts.
