Statistics Service worsens estimate of GDP decline in Q1 from 0.5% to 0.6%
The State Statistics Service has worsened the estimate of the GDP decline in January-March 2026 from 0.5% to 0.6%.
This is stated in the State Statistics Service's report, Ukrainian News Agency reports.
Real GDP in the first quarter of 2026 compared to the first quarter of 2025 decreased by 0.6%, and compared to the previous quarter - by 0.7% (taking into account the seasonal factor).
Nominal GDP amounted to UAH 2,047.2 billion.
In May, the State Statistics Service reported that in January-March 2026, real gross domestic product (GDP), according to operational data, decreased by 0.5% compared to the same period in 2025.
As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, in October-December 2025, real gross domestic product (GDP), according to operational data, increased by 2.8% compared to the same period in 2024 to UAH 2,517.678 billion.
In 2025, real gross domestic product, according to operational data, increased by 1.8% compared to 2024 (in constant 2021 prices) to UAH 8,931.2 billion (in actual prices).
The state budget for 2026 was developed based on the macroeconomic forecast, which predicts a growth in real GDP of 2.4%.
