According to Klitschko, three stages of open public consultations with residents were held during the preparation of the concept of changes.

"The project has an important social component. Creating another comfortable space for walks and recreation for Kyiv residents. During the war, such places are of particular importance - they help people recover emotionally and maintain psychological stability," he noted.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, in May 2024, Klitschko announced the completion of the construction of a pedestrian bridge-wave between Obolonskaya Embankment and Obolonskyi Island.
