In Poland, reconnaissance drone with Cyrillic inscriptions discovered near border with RF
An unmanned aerial vehicle was discovered in the Warmian-Masurian Voivodeship of Poland, not far from the border with the Kaliningrad Oblast of the russian federation. The drone crashed in a field near the city of Bartoszyce. Experts are currently investigating the find. This is reported by the Polish publication RMF24.
According to preliminary conclusions of the Polish military police, the device is a military reconnaissance drone. The device was equipped with several cameras and was used exclusively for surveillance, since it did not have the structural capabilities to carry a warhead. Polish law enforcement officers recorded Cyrillic inscriptions on the drone's body.
According to unofficial data from Polish journalists, the drone probably belongs to the russian federation and arrived from the territory of the Kaliningrad Oblast. Experts point to the limited flight range of this model, which excludes the possibility of its arrival from the territory of Ukraine.
This incident became another case of the detection of suspicious flying objects in the border areas of NATO countries bordering russia.
As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, on the night of March 25, Estonia and Latvia recorded the fall of drones on the territory of their countries, and a little earlier, on March 23, a drone fell in Lithuania. The authorities of all three countries stated that the drones were of Ukrainian origin.
In addition, two drones crossed the border of Finland. President Volodymyr Zelenskyy held a conversation with Finnish President Alexander Stubb, and among the topics of discussion was the incident with the crash of Ukrainian drones in Finland on March 29.
