The Security Service of Ukraine (SSU) likely struck an air defense system belonging to the russian military during an attack on an oil refinery in Tuapse, Krasnodar Krai. This is reported by the russian publication ASTRA.

The publication cites a video obtained by journalists. It shows an anti-aircraft missile being launched and a flash from an explosion at the launch site a few seconds later. An ASTRA OSINT analyst determined that the missile launch and subsequent explosion occurred at Cape Kadosh, west of the city.

He believes that an air defense system was located there, likely the "Pantsir" anti-aircraft missile and gun system. It was not completely destroyed but likely sustained damage, as two more missiles were launched from the site of the explosion a few seconds later. The launch was carried out along a downward trajectory, after which both missiles fell into the sea.

On satellite images of Cape Kadosh, ASTRA identified the location of the anti-aircraft missile system. It is unknown whether any equipment was present there at the time of the latest Ukrainian attack.

As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, on the night of May 1, the SSU’s “Alpha” Special Operations Center attacked an oil refinery in Tuapse, resulting in a fire on the facility’s grounds. This is already the fourth successful attack on this refinery in the past two weeks.
