Orban says Hungary will supply electricity and fuel to Ukraine despite insults from Zelenskyy

Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban said that he will not be able to reach an agreement with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, as he does not support the military effort and considers the Ukrainian leader to be unprepared to end the war. Orban wrote about this in his X-account on Thursday, January 22.

"It seems to me that we will not be able to come to an understanding. I am a free man who serves the Hungarian people. You are a man in a desperate position who, for the fourth year now, has been unable or unwilling to bring a war to an end - despite the fact that the President of the United States has provided every possible assistance to do so," the Hungarian Prime Minister emphasized.

According to him, Hungary will continue to supply Ukraine with electricity and fuel, and will also continue to support refugees despite "carefully chosen insults" from Zelenskyy.

Recall that during his speech in Davos, the President of Ukraine stated that even within the European Union there are forces trying to destroy Europe. Zelenskyy said, without naming names, that "...every Viktor who lives on European money, trying to sell European interests, deserves a slap. And if he feels comfortable in Moscow, this does not mean that we should allow European capitals to turn into little Moscows."

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, on January 18, President of the United States Donald Trump invited Prime Minister of Hungary Viktor Orban to join and become one of the founders of the Peace Council.
