Six more countries sent energy aid packages weighing over 50 tons to Ukraine - Shmyhal

Six countries have transferred energy aid packages weighing over 50 tons to Ukraine to restore energy infrastructure facilities that were damaged as a result of strikes by the aggressor country, the russian federation.

This was stated by First Мшсу Prime Minister - Minister of Energy Denys Shmyhal, as quoted by the press service of the Ministry of Energy of Ukraine.

According to him, today, cargoes from Germany, Norway, the Netherlands, Finland, Spain and Switzerland arrived in Ukraine. These are power transformers, switchboards, generators, lighting masts and other necessary equipment.

Tomorrow, January 23, Ukraine expects the arrival of an aid package from the Czech Republic, containing energy equipment. And the assistance provided by the Austrian government is already being sent to the reserve hub of the Ministry of Energy.

"We are processing all requests quickly. 20 shipments - 114 tons of equipment - have already been sent to enterprises of the fuel and energy complex and critical infrastructure," Shmyhal said.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, on January 21, the charge d'affaires of Poland in Ukraine Piotr Lukasiewicz said that Poland had sent 400 generators of various types to Kyiv and the communities of the Kyiv region.

As a reminder, on January 20, Prime Minister of Ukraine Yulia Svyrydenko reported that in the coming days Ukraine would receive energy assistance packages from the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Azerbaijan, and Ireland.

Also, on January 20, a batch of boiler equipment arrived in Ukraine, the purchase and supply of which was financed by the Italian government.
