Cabinet approves creation of National Unity Agency under Ministry of Social Policy

The Cabinet of Ministers approved the creation of the National Unity Agency under the Ministry of Social Policy, Family and Unity. This is stated in the order No. 1462 dated December 17, Ukrainian News Agency reports.

"To agree with the proposal of the Ministry of Social Policy, Family and Unity to establish a limited liability company National Unity Agency, 100 percent of the authorized capital of which belongs to the state and the authority to manage the corporate rights of the state is exercised by the said Ministry," the document says.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, in July, the Cabinet of Ministers merged the Ministry of National Unity with the Ministry of Social Policy and renamed the Ministry of Social Policy to the Ministry of Social Policy, Family and Unity.

In December 2024, the Verkhovna Rada appointed Oleksii Chernyshov, Chairman of the Board of the Naftogaz of Ukraine national joint stock company, to the position of Vice Prime Minister - Minister of National Unity of Ukraine. At that time, the Cabinet of Ministers renamed the Ministry for the Reintegration of Temporarily Occupied Territories to the Ministry of National Unity, which was supposed to help form a strategy on how to return Ukrainians to live and work in Ukraine.
