He said this in a comment to journalists on board Air Force One.

"Well, they're going along and they're going along well. We want to stop people from being killed. doesn't have much to do with us, but I'd like to see if we could save a lot of souls," Trump said.

He confirmed that he spoke with US Secretary of State Marco Rubio and special envoy Steve Witkoff after the talks.

"Yeah, I've spoken to them and they're doing well. Uh Ukraine's got some difficult little problems. We have some difficult problems, but uh I think Russia would like to see it end. And I think Ukraine I know Ukraine would like to see it in," he commented.

When asked about "a bit of problems," Trump mentioned the "corruption situation": "Corruption situation going on which isn not helpful."

Asked if this was hampering peace talks, Trump said:

"I said it was going on for three years, right? Didn't I say it for three years? I said it. So I was way ahead of schedule. But I think that uh there's a good chance we can make a deal."

As a reminder, The Wall Street Journal reported, citing its own sources, that the Ukrainian and American delegations at the talks in Miami discussed the holding of elections and the exchange of territories between Ukraine and the aggressor country russia.

Meanwhile, on the evening of November 28, Andrii Yermak wrote a letter of resignation from the post of the Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine. At the same time, in the morning, the National Anti-Corruption Bureau and the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office reported that they are conducting searches at Yermak's place.

Axios, citing two Ukrainian officials, reported that Yermak's resignation came a day before he was to travel to Miami for talks with US President Donald Trump's team on a peace plan.
