Imports of goods exceed exports by USD 26.2 billion in 8 months

In January-August 2025, imports of goods exceeded exports by USD 26,228.3 million.

This is stated in the message of the State Statistics Service, the Ukrainian News agency reports.

During January-August 2025, the negative balance of trade in goods deteriorated by USD 8,591.5 million compared to January-August 2024 (in January-August 2024, the negative balance was USD 17,636.8 million).

Exports of goods in January-August amounted to USD 26,406 million, while it decreased by 4.3% compared to January-August 2024.

In January-August, imports of goods amounted to USD 52,634.3 million, an increase of 16.4%

As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, in January-July 2025, imports of goods exceeded exports by USD 22,626 million.

During 2024, the negative balance of trade in goods deteriorated by USD 1,634 million compared to 2023 (in 2023, the negative balance was USD 27,384.1 million).
