Parliamentary faction Servant of the People to appoint Berezhna as Minister of Culture

The pro-government Servant of the People faction intends to appoint Tetiana Berezhna as Vice Prime Minister for Humanitarian Policy - Minister of Culture, acting minister. This was announced by the deputy head of the Verkhovna Rada's Committee on Humanitarian and Information Policy Yevhenia Kravchuk (the Servant of the People faction) on Facebook, Ukrainian News Agency reports.

"The Servant of the People faction has just supported the candidacy of Tetiana Berezhna for the position of Vice Prime Minister for Humanitarian Policy of Ukraine - Minister of Culture of Ukraine. We expect Yulia Svyrydenko to officially submit it to the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine," she said.

The vote is expected next plenary week (October 21-24) after the approval of her candidacy by the Committee on Humanitarian and Information Policy, which Kravchuk has no doubts about.

As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, on July 17, the Verkhovna Rada appointed Yulia Svyrydenko, who served as First Vice Prime Minister and Minister of Economy in Denys Shmyhal's government, as the new Prime Minister, and a new government, but without a Minister of Culture.
