Railway damaged in Kyiv Region: trains delayed and rerouted
On the night of September 14, an emergency occurred in the Fastiv District of the Kyiv Region, as a result of which the railway infrastructure was damaged.
The Kyiv Regional Military Administration head Mykola Kalashnyk has reported this on Telegram.
It is emphasized that the emergency is not related to an air attack.
Due to the damage, some trains are forced to run on a detour. Thus, passengers of the Kharkiv-Przemyśl flight were partially taken to Kyiv by buses, while others continued their journey on a changed route. Three women were provided with medical assistance on the spot due to a stress reaction.
Ukrzaliznytsia reported that trains in the Koziatyn and Berdychiv directions are temporarily going via Korosten, and those in the Fastiv direction are detouring via Myronivka and Trypillia-Dniprovske.
The changes affected the Kyiv-Chełm, Kyiv-Kamianets-Podilskyi, Sumy/Chernihiv-Rakhiv, and Kramatorsk/Kharkiv-Lviv routes.
During the restoration work, train traffic in the direction of the damaged section is limited.
"Train No. 73 Kharkiv-Przemyśl also just departed on a changed route via Kyiv and Korosten. The train will be accelerated, however, the expected delay is at least 4 hours," Ukrzaliznytsia added.
The previous night, explosions and a fire were heard in the Kyiv Region.
Recall that as a result of the attack by Ukrainian drones on the northwestern port of Primorsk, the aggressor country russia suspended oil loading here for the first time.
