Podoliak calls "freezing" one of possible scenarios for ending war
A freeze of hostilities along the current front line may become one of the options for ending the war in Ukraine. The final decision on this will be made by President Volodymyr Zelenskyy.
This was stated by Mykhailo Podoliak, advisor to the head of the Presidential Office, in an interview with Novyny.LIVE.
"Realistically speaking, yes. One of the possible scenarios is a freeze along the front line. And the President is talking about it. But I think that the decision on the final, on the scenario that will be the final, will be made by the President," Podoliak said.
He noted that consultations are currently underway between Zelenskyy and European leaders, there is a clear understanding of the risks that russia will pose in the future.
In addition, the advisor to the head of the President's Office reported on a constructive dialogue with the United States. In his opinion, after the meetings in Beijing and Tianjin, Washington will begin to assess world processes more realistically.
"How is the restructuring going, who will dominate and why allow this restructuring to be brought to an end. If you want this restructuring not to look anti-American, you need to invest in Ukraine, invest in ensuring that the war ends more or less fairly. So that russia does not receive anything. No dividends," Podoliak concluded.
As a reminder, the Coalition of the Willing stated at the meeting on August 17 that it is ready to deploy security forces in Ukraine after the ceasefire, protect air and sea space, and restore the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
Meanwhile, French President Emmanuel Macron stated that work on security guarantees for Ukraine has been completed and the documents are now ready for political approval.
