Peskov says that meeting between Trump and putin could last 6-7 hours
The meeting between US and russian Presidents Donald Trump and vladimir putin in Anchorage, Alaska, could last about 6-7 hours. This was reported by putin's press secretary Dmitry Peskov, according to russian media.
The summit of politicians is due to begin at 10:00 pm Kyiv time.
It is reported that a one-on-one conversation will first take place, with the participation of aides. Then there will be negotiations within the delegations, possibly in the format of a working lunch. Then the leaders of the countries will disperse for a while and then gather for a joint press conference.
"In general, one can imagine that at least 6-7 hours will be spent on this," Peskov noted.
As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, on August 15, the White House published the schedule of the Trump-putin summit in Anchorage.
On August 14, Trump said he hoped to arrange a meeting between Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and russian leader vladimir putin to end the war.
As a reminder, on August 13, Trump threatened russia with serious consequences if negotiations with putin failed.
