During the 67th prisoner exchange on August 14, 33 military and 51 civilian Ukrainians were released from russian captivity, including a man who spent 4,013 days in russian captivity and a primary school teacher.

The Coordination Headquarters for the Treatment of Prisoners of War announced this on the Telegram channel, the Ukrainian News agency reports.

"The peculiarity of today's exchange is that it was possible to free Ukrainian civilians and military personnel who were detained in the temporarily occupied territories even before the full-scale invasion and illegally sentenced to long terms of imprisonment - from 10 to 18 years. One of the released ones spent 4,013 days in captivity - he was enslaved in the Donetsk Region back in 2014," the report says.

Ukrainians captured and convicted by the occupiers from 2016 to 2021 also returned to Ukraine, among the released ones are three women from Donetsk and Luhansk Regions, one of them is a primary school teacher who was deprived of her liberty in 2019.

Among the Ukrainian civilians released on August 14 is a 27-year-old guy who was illegally deprived of his liberty by the occupiers in 2016, at that time he was 18 years old.

In addition to civilians, defenders from the Mariupol garrison, soldiers of the Naval Forces and the State Border Guard Service are also returning home, 10 officers were released from captivity.

Two pairs of brothers who had been held in captivity since March and April 2022 are returning from russian captivity.

Most of the released civilians and military have health problems and disabilities.

The youngest released person is 26 years old, the oldest is 74 years old, of which he spent the last 7 years (since 2018) in a russian prison.

As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, on Thursday, August 14, Ukraine returned another 84 Ukrainians from russian captivity, among them - defenders of Mariupol and civilians.
