Three top bodies in Ukraine headed by former NABU detectives
he National Agency on Corruption Prevention (NACP), the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office (SAPO), and the Economic Security Bureau (ESB) are currently headed by former employees of the National Anti-Corruption Bureau (NACB).
This is reported by the Ukrainian News Agency.
Recently, the Economic Security Bureau was headed by the head of the NABU detective unit, Oleksandr Tsyvinskyi. He won the competition for this position. Earlier, the competition for the head of the NACP was won by NABU detective Viktor Pavlushchyk. And the competition for the head of the SAPO was won by NABU detective Oleksandr Klymenko. Thus, all three are headed by former NABU employees.
The current director of NABU Semen Kryvonos is not a native of NABU, since before his appointment to this position he held the post of head of the State Inspectorate for Architecture and Urban Planning. However, before that, he tried his hand at the competition for the position of director of the Odesa Department of NABU and won it. However, after a scandal in the media regarding his possible corruption, he refused the position. And returned to NABU in March 2023, winning the competition for the position of director.
As Ukrainian News Agency earlier reported, two years ago, the new head of ESB "crashed" the interview for the position of director of NABU. The head of the NACP appointed a former NABU employee and a head in the SSU as his deputy. In February, the Cabinet of Ministers appointed Viktor Pavlushkyk as the head of the National Agency for Corruption Prevention. And in March 2023, the Cabinet of Ministers appointed Semen Kryvonos as the director of NABU.
