Zelenskyy and Trump considering "mega deal" for arms purchase

US President Donald Trump and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy are considering a "mega deal" under which the United States would purchase Ukrainian drones that have been tested on the battlefield in exchange for Kyiv's agreement to purchase weapons from America. Zelenskyy said this in an exclusive interview with The New York Post.

The head of state noted that during his last conversation with Trump, he discussed a "breakthrough" agreement on the exchange of advanced technologies. According to him, Ukraine offered to share everything it has experienced during the years of war with the aggressor country russia.

"The people of America need this technology, and you need to have it in your arsenal. I think this is really a mega deal, a win-win, as they say," Zelenskyy said.

The President stressed that Ukrainian drones were able to penetrate russian defenses, disable heavy strategic bombers and strike at a depth of up to 1287.48 km. The publication writes that the agreement between Ukraine and the United States could become "transformational" for the army and national security of America, since their technologies lag significantly behind russia and China.
