Energy Ministry fully forms GTS Operator of Ukraine's Supervisory Board

The Ministry of Energy of Ukraine has elected two new state representatives to the Supervisory Board of LLC Gas Transmission System Operator of Ukraine in accordance with the requirements of the legislation and taking into account the order of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine dated June 25, 2025 No. 607-р.

This is stated in the message of the Ministry of Energy, the Ukrainian News agency reports.

The message states that Vitalii Zubrii and Ruslan Strilets were elected as members of the Supervisory Board, their term of office is three years.

The Supervisory Board of the GTS Operator of Ukraine also includes three independent experts.

The composition of the Supervisory Board was formed taking into account key competencies.

This allows for a systematic approach to management and effective implementation of strategic initiatives.

It is noted that the formation of the Supervisory Board is another step towards strengthening corporate governance in the energy sector.

The Supervisory Board ensures strategic oversight, transparent management, and uninterrupted operation of the GTS Operator of Ukraine, which is important for national security and gas transit to the EU countries.

The appointment of members of the Supervisory Board is part of the comprehensive policy of the Ministry of Energy on reforming corporate governance in state-owned enterprises and complies with Ukraine's international obligations.

As the Ukrainian News agency earlier reported, in mid-February, the Director General of LLC GTS Operator of Ukraine Dmytro Lyppa announced that he was resigning, and the Supervisory Board of LLC GTS Operator of Ukraine announced the start of a competitive selection process for a new Director General.

In September 2023, the Cabinet of Ministers transferred the GTS Operator of Ukraine to the management of the Ministry of Energy.

On August 30, 2023, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy signed the law "On Optimization of the Ownership Structure of the Gas Transmission System Operator of Ukraine", which provides for the transfer of corporate rights of LLC GTS Operator of Ukraine from JSC "Main Gas Pipelines of Ukraine" to the Ministry of Energy of Ukraine.
